What part of an Attorney General thinking the government can “reasonably” regulate speech don’t you see as horrible?

He is supposed to be a scholar of the law yet he doesn’t fully comprehend the 1st amendment? It says the legislature shall make NO law. I guess it depends on how you define “No”, right? He doesn’t comprehend the 1st amendment…it’s the first one for heaven’s sake.

How does the fact that this quote was made in 1999 make any difference. Obama told everyone that McCain’s alleged, and now exonerated, involvement in the Keating 5 made him ill-equipped to be President…and that was 20 years ago. Did you make a huge outcry about that? If you did I apologize. LEt me give you some advice, people’s ideologies very rarely change especially during one’s adult life. If he felt that way in 1999, he most likely feels the same way in 2008.

Finally, do you have any proof this was taken out of context? I am sick of the “out of context” mumbo jumbo. That defense is played out and it has begun to lose its value. Save that defense for a legitimate scenario. Moreover, there is video proof of what he said, did you watch the video?
